New York man held in Wilmington slaying

(AP) – Delaware State Police say a man charged with killing a man outside a Wilmington nightclub has been arrested in New York City.
Twenty-eight-year-old Lamott Matthews was arrested Tuesday on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 35-year-old William Brown of Wilmington, troopers said in a news release.
Police say early on Nov. 16, a fight broke out at the Gold Club on South Market Street. As two patrons fought, police say one man pulled out a gun and shot the other in the upper torso. The shooter then ran away.
Police say Brown died at Christiana Hospital.
Matthews is awaiting extradition to Delaware.
