FEBRUARY SWEEPS STARTED THURSDAY OF LAST WEEK

• As with all ratings periods, I want to remind our new employees that all broadcast employees and their immediate families are ineligible to participate in a Nielsen viewership survey.  To do so would jeopardize the integrity of the audience estimates data that Nielsen produces from its surveys.  If you receive a ratings book or are contacted about participation, decline the offer or return the book, advising Nielsen that you are a broadcaster.  Advise your supervisor of the same.  In advance, thank you for your cooperation with this very important request.

RENOVATIONS UPDATE:

• Lobby furniture is expected to be delivered by the end of February
• Mr. Go Glass (under new ownership) is preparing a quote for a wood and glass railing

COMINGS AND GOINGS:

• Kenny Christopher, a senior at Pocomoke High School, begins his Studio internship today

ABC47 HAS FIVE PRIME TIME SPECIALS THIS WEEK:

• Thursday night is TGIT with season premieres of

• Friday at 8 is “Be My Valentine:  A Charlie Brown Valentine”

• This is the second and final week of Good Morning America’s series of “10 Dates in 10 Days”
• This Wednesday and Thursday the 47 News Hour at 5:30 will have an Emily Lampa special titled “Waiting for Justice”, an exclusive interview with parents of murdered mom, Nicole Bennett, who have waited almost three years for the trial to come about.  This is the first time they have spoken out.

ME-TV OFFERING A “LOVEFEST” THIS VALENTINE’S DAY with a full day of love themed episodes from 12 noon to 12:30AM on Sunday, 14 February.
