WELCOME, KAYLEENA SPEAKMAN.

Kayleena joined our Sports Team on 22 January as Sports Reporter/ Producer/ Anchor, bringing our Sports Team back up to full staff.  She is a graduate of California State University Fresno with a BA in Mass Communication/ Journalism.  She also attended Willow International Community College.  Her professional experience includes an internship at KFSN ABC 30 in Fresno and Sports Anchor/ Social Media Producer/ Video Operator for Fresno State Focus, the student produced newscast,  Her skills also include training on a wide range of news related equipment.  Please join me in welcoming her to our Team.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

  • On Thursday, Teri Mahoney will be working as a greeter at the Ocean City Business Expo at the Carousel and I’ll be stopping by for a visit.

 

JOINING OUR STUDIO TEAM:

Please join me in welcoming Trey Robinson who started as part-time Studio Tech on 27 January.

RENOVATIONS UPDATE:

  • Baseboard work is finished. 
  • Current project is the video center upgrade in the lobby which will contain 6 monitors.
  • The Plaza window wiring project is complete and the standees are lit at night for additional visibility and promotional value.

WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST INTERNS, RYAN DENNIS AND BRADLEY DAVIS :

Ryan started last week as a Weather Intern and Bradley Davis started as a News Intern.

ABC47 HAS FOUR PRIME TIME SPECIALS THIS WEEK:

  • Wednesday and Thursday (8-10PM) will be the much publicized “Madoff” two-part special, the story of one of the biggest money mis-managers in history
  • Thursday at 10, will be the wrap up “Madoff:  After the Fall”
  • Saturday, beginning at 8PM will be the ABC News Special, “The New Hampshire Republican Debate”
