Milford man arrested after theft investigation in Delaware

Milford Police say they arrested and charged a man in connection with theft incidents that occurred in December, 2015. 

According to the records, the investigation revealed that  25-year-old, Richard Burgess, of Milford had removed items from a victim’s vehicle  between the dates of between 12/7/15 and 12/8/15. 

Burgess later allegedly sold the items to a local pawn shop.

Burgess was located and taken into custody by Probation & Parole and turned over to the custody of the Milford Police. He was also wanted on an active capias out of KCCP.  Burgess was arraigned and then turned over to the custody of Capital Police at KCCP.

According to authorities, he was charged with theft under $1500, falsifying business records and theft by false pretense under $1500.

Burgess was later released on an unsecured bond.
