Man reportedly robbed at knifepoint in Dover Wawa parking lot

Police are looking for information, after they say a man was robbed at knife point in a Dover convenience store parking lot.

Dover Police say just before 9:00 PM on Tuesday, a 22-year-old man was walking to his car, after using the ATM inside the Wawa on South DuPont Highway. While returning to his car, Police say the man was approached by another man, who said that he was with three other people, and initially asked for a dollar.

However, when the 22-year-old pulled out his wallet to give him a dollar, the suspect then reportedly demanded the whole wallet, and pulled a knife out of his hooded sweatshirt. Police say the victim handed over his wallet, with an undisclosed amount of cash inside, and the suspect, along with three others left the area.

The victim described the suspect to Police as black man, standing about 6? tall, with an average build, a light beard, between 25 and 30-years-old, and last seen wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans. Police don’t have much of a description on the other three men.

Dover Police say their investigation is on-going at this time. They are asking that anyone with information about this incident contact them at 302-736-7111 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent through the Crime Stoppers website, or the Dover Police MyPD mobile app.
