Laurel Tops Lake, Pads Playoff Spot

Laurel hosted Lake Forest Wednesday night and topped them 65-56 in what was a huge victory for the Bulldogs. Laurel was a bubble playoff team and they really needed this win to pad their resume and hope for a permanent playoff spot. 

This victory did not come easy for the Bulldogs as Lake tried everything they had to stay in this. It was the second quarter for the Bulldogs that really pushed them forward as they outscored the Spartans 21-15, keeping that lead the rest of the way. 

The Spartans tried to fight back outscoring the Bulldogs in the third 20-17, but it was not enough to get the win. 

Laurel was led by Derrell Holden with 18, while Cameron Lewis and Dominique Griffith each scored 20 for the Spartans.
