Four arrested in months-long drug investigation

Members of the Delaware State Police say troopers from the Kent Drug Unit have arrested four people following a two month-long investigation into drug deals from residences in Camden-Wyoming and Magnolia.

Troopers say on Friday, the Kent Co. Drug Unit and several other agencies including the DEA and Dover Police, executed search warrants at a home on Fire Tower Road in Camden-Wyoming.

It was there that State Police say Antwan Seney, 30, and Karl Martin, 55, were arrested. Police say another adult female and five children were in the home at the time of arrest.

Officers say 15 dogs were also located on the property, and Delaware Animal Control assisted in the search warrant.

Upon execution of the search warrant detectives say they located 44.2 grams of crack cocaine and 5.6 grams of powder cocaine packaged for sale, as well as eight grams of marijuana.  

During another search warrant at a home located on Terry Drive, detectives say they found and arrested Charlene Heckerman, 33, and Dashawn Friend, 41. Officers search at this home reportedly revealed 10.72 grams of heroin packaged for sale in 715 baggies, as well as $538.00 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Seney and Martin were both reportedly transported to Troop 3 where they were each charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity, Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity, Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance or Counterfeit Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and five counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Troopers say both men were then arraigned at JP Court 2.

According to State Police, Seney was released after posting $45,000.00 secured bond. Martin, however, was transported to the Sussex Correctional Institution after failing to post $45,000.00 secured bond.

According to State Police, Heckerman and Friend were also transported to Troop 3 where they were each charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity, Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Heckerman and Friend were then reportedly transported to the Sussex Correctional Institution after failing to post $51,500.00 secured and $51,500.00 cash bail respectively.
