Fisher & Wise Power Eagles Past Jags

The young Snow Hill boys basketball teams is starting to figure it out at the right time, as they traveled to Princess Anne Thursday night, and pulled out a impressive 74-67 win. The win improves the Eagles to 10-7, while the Jaguars fall to 9-8.

The Jaguars would come out and throw the first punch, as Tyler Paulson would score a couple quick baskets in the post to put his team out in front. The Jordan Sterling got into the scoring action, slicing to the rack and converting a couple lay ins as the Jags would build a 13-6 lead. Snow Hill then found their footing as Takhai Wise would get his team out in transition for a couple scores to get it started. Then just before the end of the quarter, Ameer Fisher would come up with a steal, take it the other way and lay it home just before the end of the buzzer to cut Washington’s lead to 13-11. Fisher continued to go to work in the 2nd quarter, hitting a 3 and converting 2 and one’s while scoring 10 of his game high 28 in the quarter. Snow Hill would take a lead into halftime, and then push it in the 3rd as Wise would get a couple more scores in transition, after Josh Coleman came up with steal after steal. The Jags would then fight back in the 4th, as Kamryn Somers would score at the rim, and  Donvan Stevens would add a couple threes to get their team within 5. But the Eagles hit their free throws down the stretch, as they were able to close it out for the road win.

Snow Hill returns to work on Tuesday when they host Kent Island, while Washington
