Eagles Sore Past Crabbers To 2nd Round

The Snow Hill girls basketball team advance to the second round of the state tournament Friday after they defeated Snow Hill 58-28. The Eagles advance to face Pocomoke in the second round.

Snow Hill would jump out to a quick lead in the first led by Dishon Wise. She would connect on a couple buckets at the basket, while also drilling a 3-ball just before the buzzer. The Crabbers would try and go on a run in the second quarter, led by their senior Arielle Johnston. She scored a couple baskets in transition, then hit an and one underneath to claw her team within 8. But the Eagles just kept on coming. Dasjia Shockley would control the paint, adding a couple weak side baskets as the would take a big lead into half, and roll for the win.
