DSP investigates school bomb threat in Felton

Troopers say they are currently investigating a robotic bomb threat to Lake Forest High School, Tuesday afternoon.  

Authorities say, the incident occurred just before 1 PM when a robotic phone call was received at the main office of Lake Forest High School, on Killens Pond Road.

According to the records, the caller stated there was an armed subject on the roof of the high school and threatened to do harm to the students and faculty. 

Students there, as well as students at the Central Elementary School located directly across the street, were immediately placed on a low level lock down as troopers and K9 units responded to the high school.

School administrators and State police extensively earched the interior and exterior of the building.

Officials say, nothing suspicious was found during the search. and that the lock down was lifted around 1:40 PM allowing students to resume normal school activities.

The incident currently remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police

Authorities say, it is unknown if this threat is related to the series of bomb threats which have been occurring throughout the state over the past few weeks.
