Dover woman arrested on drug charges during Harrington traffic stop

A Dover woman is facing charges, after Police say she was found with drugs, during a Harrington traffic stop.

Harrington Police say on Friday, Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle on South DuPont Highway, for a traffic violation. During the stop, Police say they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, prompting a search.

According to the report, Officers found over 15 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, along with over $2,000 in suspected drug money. Police say the seized items belonged to 24-year-old Tawanda Trotter, a passenger in the car. The driver was issued a traffic citation, and released with no criminal charges.

Trotter was taken into custody, and was given a criminal summons for possession of marijuana with an aggravating factor and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released pending a future court date.
