Delaware woman arrested during Salisbury traffic stop

Brandy Michele Moorer, 37, Dover, Del.

A Dover woman is facing charges, after she apparently gave a fake name to law enforcement, during a traffic stop.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday around 5:15 AM, a Deputy pulled over a vehicle on North Salisbury Boulevard near William Street in Salisbury, for speeding. During the stop, the Deputy says driver told them that she didn’t have her driver’s license with her, but gave a name.

That name was apparently found to be fake, and after about 45 minutes, the Deputy reportedly found that 37-year-old Brandy Moorer had tried to use her sister’s identity, in an attempt to hide that her driver’s license had been both revoked and suspended by the State of Delaware.

Moorer was then arrested, and charged with false name to avoid prosecution, driving while revoked, and driving while suspended. She was then seen by a District Court Commissioner, and released on an unsecured bond.
