Construction approved for St. Paul’s by the sea Episcopal Church

The Ocean City planning and zoning commission has approved St. Paul’s by the sea Episcopal Church to start construction two years after it was damaged in a fire. The fire started when a man set himself on fire and went into the church setting it ablaze claiming his own life and the life of a Pastor, Reverand David Dingwall.
Parts of the historic building were damaged beyond repair, but a zoning administrator for the town says the new construction can be completed while maintaining the integrity of the building.
Officials say that the construction will rebuild administrative offices, will hold the food pantry, and will install an elevator in the church.
