Community remembers former Asst. Fire Chief

Retired assistant chief Donald Records of the Salisbury Fire Department has passed, according to fire officials.

The Salisbury Fire Department says Records passed away on Thursday from natural causes though his death was “sudden”.

We’re told he was an innovator and deeply devoted to his craft and his family.    

The Pittsville Volunteer Fire department also shared their thoughts on Facebook, remembering Records as memorable and impressionable leader.

They described him as a true “fireman’s fireman”.
