Central Edges Conrad In Epic Battle of Unbeatens!

The Central girls middle school team capped off a perfect season with a thrilling 29-25 win over Conrad in the championship game of the Capital Classic. The teams would be in a defensive battle early on in the game as neither team would grab much of a lead. Finally, Kaylah Barnes would start to get her teams offense running as they would grab a small lead by halftime. The Redskins would come fighting back in the second half off some good shooting from Aryanna Lingo and their force in the middle Ja’Nylah Whittlesey. With the game hanging in the balance, Nicole Rainford scored a lay in to push her teams lead to a two possession game, and they would hold on from there.
