Celebrating National Girl Scout cookie weekend

Thinmints, Tag-a-longs and Samoas, most people can’t get enough! We’re talking about Girl Scout Cookies! Friday through Sunday is considered “National Girl Scout cookie weekend”.

Local girl scouts will be showing off their cookie selling skills by going door to door, selling at different stores and also at booths in the Salisbury mall. 47 ABC spoke with Denise Eberspeaker and she says selling girl scout cookies builds leadership skills and self-confidence.

Eberspeaker says, “The girls work really hard selling the cookies during the time frame this is just a weekend to really highlight all of the skills that the cookie program builds.”

Every year, over 9,000 girl scouts from Delmarva take part in the cookie selling program, selling over 1 million boxes annually.
