Car fire in Salisbury under investigation

The cause of a vehicle fire in Salisbury, remains under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office say the fire was discovered by a passerby around 3:55 AM at the intersection of West Road and Ed Taylor Road, with a four door 2004 Chevy Malibu.

Five firefighters from the Salisbury Fire Department reportedly responded, and had the blaze under control in five minutes. Damages are estimated at $5,000. No injuries were reported. Investigators say where the fire started, and what caused it, remain under investigation.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is apparently assisting in the investigation. The Fire Marshal’s Office is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at at 410-713-3780.
