Briddell & Boys Bounce ‘Cats

The Parkside boys basketball team picked up a convincing non conference win Friday night when they rolled Delmar 87-65. The win improves the Rams to 15-3, while the Wildcats drop to 5-11.
Parkside would jump out to a quick lead as they had a balanced attack in the first. 5 different players would score in the quarter as the Rams opened up a 15-8 lead. Then Gary Briddell took over in the second for the Rams. The junior poured in 10 of his 22 points as Parkside opened up a 28 points lead by halftime. Shy Mitchell would try and give his team a spark in the 3rd, as he got hot for Delmar. 14 points in the 3rd quarter alone kept the ‘Cats within striking distance, but the Rams quickly put it away in the 4th. Raequan Williams squared an and 1 three pointer from the top of the arc, while Tyrese Purnell was able to get to the rim for a few easy scores as well. Parkside would quickly close the door for the win.
Parkside returns to work on Tuesday when they host North Caroline, while Delmar host Seaford on Wednesday.
