All eyes on Iowa for Monday caucuses

After months of campaigning and millions spent on advertising, Monday marked the first round of caucuses.
The Associated Press reports democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders find themselves in a tight race.
Latest numbers also suggest Donald Trump may be slightly ahead of Ted Cruz, among the republicans.
Dr. Samuel Hoff, a political science professor at Delaware State University, says an interesting note about Monday is that both parties are caucusing on the same day. Dr. Hoff says whoever comes out on top, or appears to be pulling ahead, may gain a head-start in the race to the white house.
“It’s important for momentum…for the candidates that either win or do well by getting money or by getting media attention, no question about that.” He explains.
The caucuses are set to begin at 7 p.m. central time and are expected to last for about three hours.
