Woodstove malfunction apparently started Selbyville structure fire

A woodstove malfunction is being blamed for a building fire in Selbyville.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says on Sunday around 10:45 AM, the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company responded to a blaze on Hoosier Street, to find heavy fire showing from the structure.
They, with help from Roxana, and Frankford fire companies, worked to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported. Officials say the building was heavily damaged, but not occupied at the time of the fire.
Investigators say they fire started as a malfunction in the woodstove, that ignited nearby combustibles. Damages are estimated to total $35,000.
