Woodbridge Wins Ugly Over Indian River

The Woodbridge boys basketball team picked up another conference win Tuesday night when they defeated Indian River 60-29 at home. The win improves the Blue Raiders to 10-2, while the loss drops the Indians to 3-7.
Both teams would struggle mightily offensively to start. The game saw more air balls in the first quarter than it did points as the Blue Raiders would take a 5-4 lead into the second quarter. The Blue Raiders would then finally find a little bit of their offensive rhythm in the second quarter. KJ Mosley would connect on a long ball, and then the energy was finally brought into the building after Khalil Leatherwood nearly brought down the house with a huge follow dunk on a missed lay in. The Indians would try and get their offense going as Demetrius Jenkins would get a couple buckets but Woodbridge would still take a 19-8 lead into the locker room. The Blue Raiders brought their offense with them into the second half, while the Indians never got going.
Indian River returns to work Wednesday when they host Salisbury School, while Woodbridge host Caesar Rodney on Friday.
