UPDATE: Two detained after gunshot at middle school

Two suspects are in custody after police say a gun was shot inside of Central Middle School.
According to the Dover Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Corporal Mark Hoffman of the Dover Police Department says a 13-year-old student took the gun from a 12-year old student’s locker.
That 13-year-old student reportedly fired the gun inside of a first-floor bathroom, which apparently damaged a toilet.
According to police, the 12-year-old student admitted to stealing the gun from his father and bringing it to school to give to the 13-year-old.
As of right now, police say it is unclear if the gun was fired intentionally or not.
There are no reported injuries.
In cooperation with Central Middle School staff, authorities say the school was placed on lock-down as a precaution while police and school staff checked the school.
Dover Police say this incident is not believed to have any relation to the bomb threat at Central Middle School which occurred earlier Tuesday morning.
The firearm, a .380 Smith and Wesson handgun, has been recovered by police.
All after school and evening activities were cancelled as a result of the incident.
