UPDATE: Surveillance photos released in two Dover robbery cases

Police have released surveillance photos, in hopes of identifying suspects in two armed robberies dating back to December.

Delaware State Police Detectives say they are continuing to investigate a pair of armed robberies in the Valero gas station on South DuPont Highway, in December.

The first incident happened on December 1, just after 6:00 AM, when Police say a man walked into the store, armed with a knife. Police say the suspect approached a 31-year-old employee, who was able to get away, just as the suspect started grabbing several rolls of scratch off lottery tickets, and packs of cigars, before running towards Rodney Village. The suspect in that case was described by investigators as a black male standing 6’00”-6’02” tall, weighing 165-185 pounds, last seen wearing a grey and black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, carrying a black and tan camouflage backpack, and armed with a knife.

Police say the second incident happened around 11:00 PM on December 4, when a man, armed with a knife, confronted a 61-year-old employee in the parking lot, after she had closed the store. The suspect then apparently forced the employee to re-open the door, while demanding cash and cigarettes. The suspect later reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and cigarettes. Police describe the suspect in this case as  a black male, 20-29 years of age, standing 5’08”-5’10” tall, weighing 170-180 pounds, last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and gloves, while armed with a knife.

The victims in both cases were apparently uninjured. Police have released the surveillance footage, pictured above, and say that similarities exist, causing them to believe that this may be the same subject.
