UPDATE: Princess Anne PD investigating home invasion near UMES

Police in Princess Anne are looking for information, after a reported home invasion, at an apartment near a local university.
Princess Anne Police say on Wednesday, Officers responded to an apartment in the Talons Square South complex on UMES Boulevard, for reports of an attempted burglary and home invasion. Once on scene, Police apparently found that the suspect made their way into the apartment, but the victim wasn’t injured.
The suspect apparently fled from the scene, in an unknown direction. Police describe the suspect as a man, standing about 5′ 7″ tall, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, armed with a weapon.
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore posted on Twitter that the suspect was in his mid-twenties, with a tattoo on his left cheek, and was armed with an automatic weapon.
