UPDATE: One sent to hospital following 6 vehicle crash in Rehoboth

State Police have released new information, about a six vehicle crash that apparently sent one person to the hospital, in Rehoboth Beach.
Delaware State Police say around 11:30 AM on Monday, 40-year-old Francis Stawicki was driving a 2002 Ford box truck westbound on John J. Williams Highway – Route 24, near Coastal Highway – Route 1. After turning onto Route 24, Officials say a fire extinguisher inside of the truck came loose, and rolled under the break of the truck.
Stawicki then apparently tried to break in the left turn lane, but wasn’t able to stop with the extinguisher lodged behind the brake, causing him to crash into a mail truck that was already stopped in front of him. Police say this caused a chain reaction, leading to four vehicles in front of the mail truck becoming involved.
Francis Stawicki was reportedly wearing a seat belt, and was uninjured in the crash. In the mail truck, Police say 41-year-old Charles Hayes, of Lincoln, was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and released.
According to the report, the four other drivers were all uninjured in the crash.
Traffic in the area was impacted for about an hour, while the crash was investigated and cleared. Police say no charges were filed in the incident.
