UPDATE: Name released in Bridgeville homicide investigation

Authorities with the Delaware State Police homicide unit are investigating a shooting that left a 35-year-old man dead.
On Thursday afternoon, Police released the name of the victim was James F. Dickerson, of Bridgeville. His cause and manner of death have apparently been ruled a homicide by gunshot wound to the head.
According to investigators, a 53-year-old woman called Troopers just before 12:45 AM Thursday morning, claiming that people had broken into a house on Conrail Road, and fired gun shots, before fleeing the scene.
When police got there, they say they found Dickerson in the kitchen, suffering from a gun shot wound to the head. The paramedics later pronounced him dead.
Police say the woman, along with three other men who lived in the home, were all uninjured in the incident. Dickerson was apparently a guest in the house.
47 ABC spoke with some neighbors on Thursday, who say they saw several police cars in front of this home in the morning. According to 47 ABC’s Jobina Fortson, the neighbors said this news has them really shaken up.
At last check, authorities don’t have any suspects in custody, and the investigation is on-going. Detectives are reportedly conducting interviews, and continuing to collect evidence.
