UPDATE: Early morning crash kills 1

A 53-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash south of Blades, according to police.
An initial investigation has revealed the crash occurred around 4:31 a.m. Saturday.
Sergeant Richard Bratz of the Delaware State Police says 53-year-old Timothy Crockett was driving a 2007 Ford F150 pickup southbound on Seaford Road, south of East Tenth Street. For unknown reasons, police say his car crossed over the northbound lane of travel and shoulder before exiting the road and striking a tree.
Following the collision, Crockett was reportedly entrapped within the car, which caught fire. The passenger compartment became fully involved in flames, and the driver died as a result of the injuries.
Crockett has died as a result. Police say it is currently unknown if he was restrained.
