Snow emergency reinstated in Salisbury

Worsening conditions have led to the reinstatement of a Snow Emergency in Salisbury, according to city officials.

We’re told salting operations have been underway throughout Saturday and will continue through the night.

Plowing of the streets will occur if and when snow accumulation exceeds four inches. Officials say in that event, the city’s seven snow emergency routes will be the first streets to be plowed.

Citizens are urged to stay at home and avoid driving if at all possible. Bridges, overpasses and intersections are common areas where the pavement freezes faster than on ordinary roadways.

For service calls after normal business hours, please contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165.
