Seahawks Take South Lead With Clutch Road Win At Poco

The Stephen Decatur girls basketball team took the lead in the Bayside South with a huge 51-42 win over Pocomoke. The win improves the Seahawks to 11-1, while the loss drops the Warriors to 10-2.
The teams would be in a good battle early on. Dayona Godwin would have it going for the road team as she would continually get to the rack on her way to a game high 30 points. Pocomoke would lean on the play of their dynamic senior as well though, as Dynaisha Christian would be able to string together several buckets down low. The lead would be down to single digits heading into the 4th. There Decatur would find a way to close it out as Amaya Mumford would add a couple short jumper and put back down low, while Godwin continued to add the big baskets when she was called upon.
Stephen Decatur returns to work Thursday when they host Crisfield, while Pocomoke host Delmar on Thursday.
