Salisbury meeting to address human trafficking

Multiple agencies are teaming together to host a meeting next weekend in Salisbury. The topic is human trafficking in Maryland.
Data shows there were 396 human trafficking survivors reported in the state of Maryland in 2014, which is nearly double the number the year before.
According to Salisbury city officials, there are most likely even more victims who did not come forward.
The meeting will be held at Salisbury University next Saturday, January 30th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Agencies that will be attending include the Eastern Shore Human Trafficking Task Force, the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, and city of Salisbury.
Some Salisbury Police investigators and local prosecutors are set to speak.
We’re told one of the topics will include who are the likeliest targets of human trafficking.
This event is free and open to the public.
