Roads clear, but more work needs to be done

Over in Cambridge, Md. the main roadways are cleared, but more work needs to be done.

Mayor Victoria Jackson-Stanley says that because of the large amount of snow the city received they are relaxing their rule on clearing off sidewalks.

Normally the rule states that sidewalks must be cleared off 24 hours after snowfall, but Jackson-Stanley says citizens now have until noon on Wednesday to do that.

The Mayor also says that right now her public works director and his team have been working to get all the side roads cleaned off as quickly as possible.

“We’re asking people to give us a little time, stay off the roads if you can to give us the time to push the snow back. we have some natural melting going on, but the more we can get off the road the safer it will be for everyone,” Jackson-Stanley said.

Jackson- Stanley says that only essential personnel for the city are required to work Monday and that the city council meeting will be pushed back until Wednesday at 6 p.m.
