Rams pull through to remain perfect in conference

The Parkside Rams moved to 8-1 on the season, and improved to 6-0 in conference play, defeating Wi-Hi 71-68 in the Waller Dome on Tuesday night.

The Rams led 20-18 after one quarter, when junior guard Paul Morgan splashed a deep three just before the buzzer. Morgan finished the game with 11 points, and 8 assists against his former mates. Parkside was led offensively by Gary Briddell, (22 points) Raequan Williams, (15 points) and sophomore big Tyrese Purnell (12 points, 13 rebounds). Wi-Hi was led by senior Barry Gaines Jr, who had another double-double, registering 25 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Corey Jones also had a nice night offensively for Wi-Hi, putting up 18 points.
