Queen Anne’s Rolls Past North Dorchester

The Queen Ann’e boys basketball team hit the road Thursday night and coasted to a 72-20 win over North Dorchester. The win improves the Lions to 9-1, while the loss drops the Eagles to 2-6.

The Lions would jump out to a monster lead early. Juwan Moore would come up with massive blocks on the defensive end, while scoring at will on the offensive side. Once he got going, Cassius Warren would be able to connect on a couple outside shots as the lead swelled to more than 20 by the second quarter. Mikey Monroe would bank home a three ball to stretch the lead just before the buzzer. The Eagles tried to battle back, and would get a couple scores from Andre Marble. The lead would prove to be far too much to overcome though, as the Lions would coast to the win.

Lions return to work Tuesday when they host Colonel Richardson, while North Dorchester travels to play at North Caroline next.
