PRMC welcomes in New Year’s baby

Not too long after the ball dropped in downtown Salisbury, Md. right down the street Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) welcomed in the first New Year’s baby for 2016.

Sofia Ferreira Gonzaga was born shortly after 2 a.m. this morning.

Both parent’s, Keila Ferreira Jorge and Luiz Gonzaga were smiling ear to ear when we spoke to them about their new bundle of joy.

“It feels good I mean I’m so happy,” said Gonzaga. “I think it’s like the best, best gift ever. I mean I think it’s the best present we have now.”

We’re told Sophia is a healthy baby girl weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz.

As tradition follows for the new years baby the Junior Board at PRMC provided the family with a gift basket this morning.
