Power shut off in part of Ocean City

As a result of the flooding in Ocean City, Md. Delmarva Power said they had to shut off power to a portion of the town around 8 p.m.
Officials tell 47 ABC storm surge flooding has submerged their electrical infrastructure.
According to the electrical company the area affected is south of North Division Street and Baltimore Avenue and affects about 620 customers.
As soon as the water recedes and the area is determined to be safe, Delmarva Power said they will turn the power back on.
Officials with the company tell us their crews will re-evaluate the situation every few hours.
Delmarva Power wants to stress that this is only done as a last resort in the interest of public safety and to protect the electric infrastructure serving the area.
