Police searching for robbery suspect

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shoplifted from a Chester CVS before making away with a small amount of cash.

Deputies say they responded to the store on South Piney Road around 9:00 p.m. Friday after the suspect was observed shoplifting bottles of Tide.

According to police, he returned and demanded money from the store clerk.

The clerk reportedly gave the suspect a small amount of cash from the register before he fled.

Police describe the suspect as an African-American male, between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall. He was last reportedly seen wearing a black beanie, hooded jacket and t-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

According to police, no weapon was displayed but it was apparently indicated.
