Police investigate armed robbery at liquor store

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to an armed robbery at a Dover liquor store on Friday evening.

According to Dover Police, a man entered Super 9 Liquors on North DuPont Highway around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

We’re told the suspect then allegedly pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. According to police reports, the clerk was given a white pillowcase to place the money in before the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a 5’10” black male with an average build. He was last reportedly seen wearing dark clothing with a dark face mask and white sneakers. We’re told the shoes may have had red or orange markings.
