One dead after car crash in Felton

Troopers are investigating a two car crash that occurred back in December resulting in the death of a Dover man.
According to reports, the incident occurred back on December 18, 2015 as 70-year-old Curtis Coleman, of Dover, was driving a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country headed north on Fox Chase Road approaching a stop sign at the intersection with Barratts Chapel Road.
Cheyenne Lawrence, 22-years-old of Dover, was operating a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Barratts Chapel Road approaching the same intersection.
Reports say, the Chrysler entered into the intersection where it was struck on the passenger’s side by the Jeep, causing Coleman to be ejected from his car.
After the impact, the Chrysler spun, coming to a stop on the side of the roadway.
Troopers say Coleman was not properly restrained, and was initially transported by EMS to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, then later airlifted to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.
He later died as a result of those injuries on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
According to reports, Lawrence was properly restrained and was transported to KGH as well, where she was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit say the investigation is ongoing, and they are continuing their investigation into this incident.
