NEW DETAILS: Bridgeville drive-by shooting

Community reacts to neighborhood homicide

Delaware State Police say a drive-by shooting occurred just before 10pm at the same home on Conrail Road south of Bridgeville, where on Thursday 35 year-old James Dickerson was shot dead hours earlier.

Investigators believe a single round was reportedly fired and struck a window of the residence. There were no injuries.

All the residents who left the home after Dickerson was gunned down, were reportedly back in the house at the time of the drive-by.

A female resident reportedly heard the gun shot but didn’t see the vehicle or who fired the weapon.

As of early Friday morning, police were still out at the home, checking the area for evidence and monitoring the area for other suspicious activity.
