Maryland’s Eastern Shore sees spike in home sales

According to a report by Long and Foster Real Estate, Inc. ,the number of homes sold saw a spike last month in many parts of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Some of those counties that have seen an increase in home sales are Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, and Worcester. Long and Foster officials say the increase is due to interest rates going down in the fourth quarter, as well as rental rates going up making it more affordable to buy than rent. They also say there is a limited number of houses available and a high demand,so folks are making decisions quicker. Long and Foster says they expect to see this trend in 2016 and also more millennials buying and selling homes as well.
