Legislation calls for chicken companies to remove waste

New legislation aimed at requiring big poultry companies to take responsibility for excess chicken litter is set to be proposed in Maryland’s State House.
The bill would only focus on the excess manure that farmers did not have a use for.
Officials say with an additional 200 new poultry houses now cleared for construction on Delmarva that will mean an estimated 20 million pounds will also come along with that.
At this time police are not releasing the identity of the suspect in custody.
They’re asking anyone who may know anything about this murder to call in to their anonymous tip line at 410-228-3333.
