Laurel Police looking for stabbing suspect

Police in Laurel say they are searching for an armed and dangerous Salisbury man, in connection to a stabbing that happened over the weekend.
Laurel Police say on Sunday around 9:00 PM, a man was walking his dog outside in the Holly Brook Apartment Complex, when he was approached by a man. According to the report, the two men got into an argument, during which the man walking his dog was stabbed twice in the torso.
The victim was rushed to Nanticoke Hospital, where he reportedly had surgery to repair his wounds. His current condition is apparently unknown by Police.
Investigators say they identified the suspect as Wayne Edwards, and searched the area for him, but didn’t locate him. He was apparently last seen driving a 2007 Black Ford Fusion, with tinted windows, and a Delaware license plate. Police say they believe that Edwards is either in the Laurel, Delaware or Salisbury, Maryland area, and he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about this incident, or Edwards whereabouts is asked to contact the Laurel Police Department at 302-875-2244 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333 (800-TIP-3333), via text “DCS” to 274637 (CRIMES).
