Lake Forest edges Indian River in double overtime

It took two overtime periods but the Lake Forest Spartans defeated the Indian River Indians 74-71 Friday night in Dagsboro.

Indians forward Deandre Cooper led all scorers with 27 points. Demetrius Jenkins scored 19, while Jamier Felton scored 17 but it was not enough to beat the Spartans, who placed 4 players in double figures, led by Cam White’s 22.

Lake is back in action on Friday when they take on Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security, while IR travels on Tuesday to play Cape Henlopen.
