Lake Forest clamps down on Delmarva Christian

The Lake Forest Spartans trailed 23-19 in the first half, but used a big second half to push past Delmarva Christian 51-38 on Thursday afternoon in Georgetown.

The tandem of Cam Lewis and Dom Griffith combined for 28 points, including 19 in the second half, to give Lake a double digit lead in the fourth. Lewis (15 points) went for 7 of his points in the fourth, securing the win for the Spartans with an emphatic dunk off a dime from Griffith. Micah Magee finished with a game-high 16 points to lead Christian. The Royals would collapse to score just 16 points in the second half, after posting the same amount in the second quarter.

Both schools play teams from Maryland next when Lake hosts Colonel Richardson Friday, and Christian faces Gunston Day School next Monday.
