Hot Shooting Clippers Edge Snow Hill For Road Win

The James M. Bennett girls basketball team traveled to Snow Hill on Tuesday and topped the Eagles for a 54-42. The win improves the Clippers to 3-9, while the loss drops the Eagles to 2-9.
Bennett would jump out to a quick lead off the hot shooting from Kayla Beale and Breanna Brown. It would be just a 6 point lead at half, but the Clippers would lock in defensively in the third quarter and open up a 15 point lead. That’s when the Eagles would go on their run. Dishon Wise and Hanna Andrews would both find their shooting touch as they would string together a couple basket to get it back within single digits. Bennett though would respond and get a 3 just before the buzzer going into the 4th by Breanne Hall, and her team would continue to put the game away from there.
Bennett returns to action Thursday when they host Parkside, while Snow Hill host Mardela on Tuesday.
