Homeless man charged with burglary in Dorchester Co.

A homeless man is facing charges in Dorchester County, after investigators say he burglarized a building.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday a Deputy arrested 51-year-old Darren Mciver, in connection to a Hurlock burglary. According to the report, on January 9, the owners of Koski Trucking found that someone had forced their way into the building.

Mciver was reportedly seen in security video breaking in. After his arrest, he was charged with second degree burglary, malicious destruction of property under $300, and trespassing. He was later ordered to be held on a $20,000 bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
