Handy’s 32 Pts Lift Laurel To Win Over Jags

The Laurel girls basketball team picked up a road win at Salisbury Christian Monday night 69-42. The win improves the Bulldogs to 4-4 on the year.
The Bulldogs would jump out to a quick lead as both Logan Handy and Rebecca Crites would have it going. Handy would hit a couple 3’s while also getting to the rack for scores, while Crites connected on several mid range shots as they would finish with 32 points and 20 points respectively. They would quickly open up a double digit lead as the Jaguars tried to fight their way back.
Jackie Gregory would get a couple lay ins while Lexi Evelyn would add a couple shots from the outside as they finished tied for a team best 10 points. But the deficit proved to be too much as Laurel would close it out for the win.
