Good News:Popular Salisbury restaurant reopens
A popular Salisbury restaurant is reopening Wednesday after it closed down due to issues with their plumbing. The Irish Penny closed down January 9th after the restaurant was flooded with 3 inches of water due to back up in their pipes. The water damaged the wood floors, dry wall, and bar.
The owner, Jeff Trivits, received multiple calls and questions about when it planned on reopening. His main concern was his employees being without a job. However, with the help of a local restoration company the Irish Penny was restored in less than 2 weeks.
“They worked non-stop. Around the clock, you know Saturday, Sundays, middle of the night. There was always somebody in here getting the stuff done. So without them we couldn’t have done it,” says Trivits
The Irish Penny will be doing some last minute clean up and resetting of the restaurant before it opens it’s doors on Wednesday.
