Gold alert issued for 47-year-old man

Police have issued a Gold Alert for a man who reportedly fled a hospital Saturday morning.

According to Dover Police, 47-year-old Joseph Maurice Williams was at Bayhealth Kent General for an unspecified condition.

Police say Williams broke a window on the second floor just before 5 a.m. Saturday before fleeing to his home on the unit block of Sackarackin Avenue. Authorities tell 47ABC he then left in his vehicle afterwards.

Williams was last reportedly seen wearing brown pants and a black jacket.

He is described as a 6’3″ tall man, weighing about 225 pounds.
