Georgetown man charged with human trafficking in Salisbury

Steven Parson, of Georgetown, Del.

A Georgetown man was arrested earlier in January, for his role in human trafficking in Salisbury.

According to court documents obtained by 47 ABC, Steven Parson allegedly drove an ex-girlfriend of his to the Hampton Inn in Salisbury. That’s where documents say authorities were conducting a covert investigation targeting prostitution. Authorities say the woman offered the officers sex for money via text message, before they met in person in the hotel.

Court documents say that the woman eventually admitted to coming to the hotel to have sex, and told him that Parson would drive her to all of her dates. Parson apparently received a cut of her earnings every time.

That’s when police say they made contact with Parson in the parking lot, and he was arrested. Parson is now facing multiple charges related to human trafficking. He was eventually released on bond.

A spokesman for Salisbury Police tells 47 ABC, that charges against the woman in this case, Tracey Sinnott, are still pending.
